Fees and charges
In order to remain committed to offering low fares, we apply additional fees and charges to the extras associated with booking a low cost flight. We will only charge you for the extras you use, and our booking process allows you to select what you want. If you don't select the extra you don't pay for it!
The tables below show our fees and the additional charges which would apply to our extras should you wish to use them.
Our top tip - it will cost you less to add an extra service as part of your online booking rather than phoning our call centre or by turning up at the airport on your day of departure.

To help cover the administration and financial costs incurred when processing bookings made using credit and debit cards, a fee applies to each person per sector. The costs associated with credit card payments are notably higher, and therefore an additional credit card supplement is applied to those bookings. These fees do not apply to infants (1-23 months) that do not occupy a seat.
A minimum booking fee of £4.00 for debit card bookings and £6.50 for credit card bookings applies.
No fee applies to customers paying with Visa Electron.

Our baggage policy has recently changed. Please make sure you read this carefully:
bmibaby charges for all baggage that is checked into the hold of the aircraft. The standard checked baggage weight allowance is 18kg per person across a maximum of 5 bags. Extra weight can be purchased online or through the call centre. The table above outlines the charges.
Passengers travelling together on the same booking reservation, who
have individually purchased baggage, can pool their baggage weight
allowance. This baggage allowance only applies to passengers who have paid
for checked baggage. Once the purchased baggage weight limit is
reached, standard overweight charges will apply.
Infants under the age of 2 years (on the date of departure of each flight) are entitled to a 5kg baggage allowance. This will be added to the adult responsible for the infant. The relevant infant fees apply. For children over 2 years, the price of flights and the baggage weight allowance is the same as for adults.
Passengers are allowed to take one piece of hand baggage on board as long as it doesn't exceed the diminsions of 55x40x20cm and has a maximum weight of 10kg. You will be asked at the airport to place your hand baggage into one of the gauges at the airport so its important that these dimensions are adhered too and relate to the size of the bag once packed, including the wheels/handles. If your hand baggage does not comfortably fit into the baggage guage at the airport you will be asked to check the bag into the hold and there will be an additional fee to pay to do so.

bmibaby accepts infants aged between 7 days and 2 years of age. Infants may fly for an administration fee of £25 per one way flight. The responsible adult will receive an additional 5kg of free baggage allowance. Only one infant per adult is permitted. Children over 2 years of age pay the same fare as adults and, if not already reserved, are allocated a dedicated seat at check-in.
Please note a pram/buggy will be carried free of charge providing an infant/child under 5 years of age is travelling. Should an infant not be travelling, the carriage of infant travel cots and car seats will be permitted at the standard charges listed above providing that the weight and dimensions does not exceed that of standard hold luggage.

Emergency exit seats offering extra leg room can be reserved online from £8.50 (€11) per flight per passenger. CAA regulations state that these seats may only be occupied by able bodied passengers aged 16+ and are sold subject to terms and conditions. Emergency exit seats can also be reserved via the reservations centre for £15.00 (€19) per flight per passenger. The airline will endeavour to assign passengers their requested seat, however, in some circumstances in may not be possible to guarantee seat assignments.

Online check-in cannot be used by passengers travelling with baggage to be checked in and passengers travelling with infants.

The cost to change a booking is as per the fee stated above per person, per one way flight, plus any difference in the total cost of the flight applicable at the time the change is made. If the available fare is lower in the new flight, no refund will be made. Please note that the name change fee applies to changes made via the call centre or at the airport (£40) or a the departure gate (£100).

Please note, if this information has not been provided in full prior to arriving at the airport, there will be a charge of £5 per passenger per sector for bmibaby to administer this at the airport. You will have to go to a check-in desk to provide this information. APIS data cannot be taken at the departure gate. This charge is non-refundable. To provide this information ahead of arriving at the airport, please go to the 'manage my bookings' section of the website.
APIS information is not required for travel within the UK, to Jersey or to the Republic of Ireland
